Sessions: Friday Evening Welcome Dessert and Reception, Reading with Attention to Numeracy, Where Did That Come From?!: Challenging Behaviour in the Classroom, Getting to Know ” Learning in the Primary Years”.
I attended the BCTF New Teachers Conference in Vancouver and came away having spent time in sessions that inspired me and filled my teacher candidate cup. I met many teachers who shared bits of wisdom and included me warmly. Each session I attended was hands-on, engaging, teachers eager to learn new ways to teach and support students, and resources for us to take away. I appreciated the collaboration and support that was given by those in attendance as we worked through activities or engaged in discussions. I left having met some wonderful teachers and knowing that I was in the right place on my journey to becoming a certified teacher. I look forward to attending again next year and continuing to build on my teaching practice.
