Financial literacy is a key math concept and life skill that students as young as kindergarten can benefit from learning and practicing. This lesson plan introduces kindergarten students to coins, connecting the attributes and value of the coins through video and hands-on activities. It is important to teach financial literacy at a time in our lives where it is easy to “tap and go” and money may not seem real at times for students.
