Curriculum Connections for Ocean Science Integration, Big ideas About the Moon (The motions and patterns of the moon and its effect on the living and non-living systems on Earth), Teaching Multiplication, Teaching Place Value.
I am grateful for the opportunities to learn and engage with teachers from other areas in our beautiful province. This conference was on Vancouver Island and there was an in-person and a virtual option. I was drawn to this conference as a few of the sessions stood out to me. They had some sessions on science including ocean science and the moon, as well as a math session on place value. Continuing to build on my math skills and teaching strategies was important and the opportunity to engage in science topics and activities connected to my interest in science. I came away with resources and activities that I can implement in future lesson plans.
